PESHAWAR: An impressive passing out parade of recruits of 22-batch was held at the Scouts Training Academy in Warsak area here in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the officers and the soldiers, the military commander said that Pakistan was presently passing through a difficult phase. “We are faced with threats of militancy and extremism but with the unity of our people, we shall overcome the challenges,” he said.
“The magnitude of these complex threats demand from soldiers like you to stand against these threats with the strength of character and professional competence,” he said. Advising the passing out soldiers, he said the glorious traditions of selfless services, devotion to duty and loyalty to national cause were the hallmark of the Frontier Corps.
– Sword of Honour –
Brig Paracha announced that they were raising new wings of the Frontier Corps to enhance the capacity and meet the internal as well as external security challenges. Earlier, the commander reviewed the smartly-turned out parade and awarded the position holders. The coveted IGFC Sword of Honour was awarded to recruit Asif Ali.
Scouts Training Academy Commandant Colonel Muhammad Rafeeque Ahmad was also present on the saluting dais. A large number of senior serving and retired armed forces officers, parents of soldiers and tribal elders witnessed the spectacular parade.
