LAHORE: The blacklisted US citizen Matthew Barrett has been deported from Pakistan.
Barrett had been brought to Lahore last night from Islamabad and from here he was deported on PIA flight PK711.
Earlier this month, FIA along with Islamabad Police conducted a raid at a guest house and detained Barrett who had been expelled from Pakistan in 2011 on suspicion of spying.
The raid was conducted after it was learned that the US citizen had returned to Pakistan.
Matthew Barrett had arrived in Pakistan after obtaining a visa on false information.
Two officials at the Islamabad Airport were also suspended for allowing Barrett to enter the country despite his name being on the blacklist.
