GHALLANAI: Driver of a car carrying food ration for the security forces in Baizai tehsil of Mohmand Agency was killed when unknown militants’ targeted the vehicle with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on Wednesday. The IED, planted by the militants on the roadside in Kodakhel area in Baizai tehsil, went off as the vehicle carrying the ration drove passed it. The official sources said that the explosion occurred when the car was passing through the area. As a result, the sources said that the drive identified as Amanullah was killed on the spot. They added that the car was completely destroyed in the attack, adding that the security forces and political administration arrested a suspected person in the subsequent search operation lunched after the incident. The sources said that the administration also defused another explosive device planted near the site where the first attack was happened.
