Faisalabad: At least 18 suspected persons have been arrested in various search operations conducted by intelligence agencies and police in Faisalabad and Gujarat. On a tip-off, police personnel accompanied by intelligence agencies conducted joint search operations late on Saturday night in the Kotla Karyala area of Gujrat and arrested 12 suspects. Police claimed to have recovered weapons and ammunitions from suspects’ possession. Meanwhile, intelligence agencies conducted search operations in the Meran Wala Bangla area of Faisalabad on Sunday and apprehended six suspected terrorists, which include a woman, and also recovered ammunitions from their possession.The detainees of the suspects have not yet been disclosed, however, they were shifted to undisclosed locations for further investigation.
