RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif confirmed on Tuesday death sentences of 13 hardcore militants, including one involved in the killing foreign tourists in Nanga Parbat.
According to the ISPR, the condemned terrorists were tried by the military courts for their involvement Nanga Parbat attack, Saidu Sharif airport, destruction of schools, attacks on armed forces, law enforcement agencies and civilians.
Earlier on January 1, the army chief had confirmed death sentences for nine terrorists convicted by military courts. “The hardcore terrorists were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, including attack on Parade Lane Mosque, ISI Headquarters, Multan, attacks on Law Enforcement Agencies, kidnapping and killing civilians in Lahore. These convicts were tried by military courts,” the statement said.
