KHAIRPUR: Five people, including two women and a child, were killed for honour in two separate incidents late on Friday night.
Naushehro Feroze SHO Abdul Munam Larik said Hassan Marri killed his cousin Seema Marri and Saleem Phul in village Allah Bux Marri for honour. Police arrested the accused.
Meanwhile, in another incident in Tando Mir Ali, Akbar Ali and Zahid Ali opened fire on their 27-year-old sister Nazia Kausar, her nine-month-old daughter Tanzela and servant Irshad Ali. They died on the spot. According to police, Nazia’s brothers suspected that his sister had illicit relations with her servant.
Police shifted the bodies to Taluka Hospital Thari Mirwah.
Police claimed that the accused were arrested along with weapons.
Peer Wasan Station House Officer Mansoor Nizamani said a first information report was registered against the two accused on behalf of the state and investigation was underway.
